Argentina’s Tren a las Nubes is one of the three world’s highest railway, which passes through breathtaking mountains of the Andes between landscapes. Part of the city of Salta, crosses the valley of Lerma, to enter the Quebrada del Toro and get to the Puna. The final point is the 1350 km where the viaduct The Polvorilla of 224 meters long by 63 high. It is the highest in the entire line of the convoy, at 4200 m. and one of the largest in the world for its characteristics. The train runs almost fifteen hours round trip, crossing 29 bridges, 21 tunnels, 13 viaducts, 2 spirals, and two zig-zags. With its high altitude clouds are often seen under bridges or on the slopes, hence its name.
