Travel to Argentina in July 2011

Cordilera de los Andes

July corresponds to the latitudes of Argentina, the strongest month of winter, and cold temperatures at locations further south of the country are benefiting from the falling snow.

Lenas

I say “benefit” because there, in the Cordillera de los Andes, other hills are covered with snow to make room for more favorable slopes for winter sports, winning adherents among both large and among the boys.

Such is the case of the ski slopes of Las Lenas in Mendoza Province, and Los Penitentes, for example, are a strong magnet for tourists in the area during the Argentine winter.

By the way, for those planning to vacation in the Cerro Las Lenas, it reaches a height of 2,240 meters above sea level in the Valle de Las Lenas. The hotel is surrounded by hills Torrecillas, also collar, Ponce, Martin, Entre Rios and Fossils.

It is precisely during the months of July and August when the whole area comes alive, filled with tourists and visitors who arrive each winter season. And then in the summer, the city is empty and the hotels charge, at least, the ghostly appearance of a place that looks forward to be held again next year.

For its part, the Cerro Los Penitentes is almost like a “tradition” in the area for practicing winter sports. And is that for over 30 years, his tracks are synonymous with skiing. For more information, you can read: “Travel in July 2011.”
