South Africa is a really interesting destination with a rich recent history, despite not being one of the most popular destinations. However, all visitors to South Africa are impressed by its people and its landscapes. This is a place where nature is very present. In fact, it has 17 national parks really impressive.
Between them stands the Kruger National Park, which was established in 1898 and is the oldest in the entire African continent. At present, its size is enormous, is northeast of South Africa, and occupies about two million hectares.
No doubt that is the ideal place for lovers of nature and animals, because they live there no more and no less than 517 species of birds and mammals about 147 protected. We can find some of the species native to Africa: giraffes, rhinos, antelopes, black, spotted hyenas, topi, zebras, lions, meerkats … also highlights some plant species such as baobab and acacia trees, which are typical of the South African landscape.
The park also offers an interesting range of accommodation. On one side are public and rustic accommodations inside the park, while the other, highlights the luxury lodges, among which Mala Mala.
Mala Mala, which was founded in the 60′s, was the first exclusive lodge in the park, but was making its way to many to be found today. These include some names like Londolozi (from whose jacuzzi is possible to see the African landscape with elephants), Selati (the place chosen by the kings of our country when they visited the park), Sabi Sabi or Ulusaba.
One of the best known is Earth, which has impressive rooms, 100 meters which, like all other installations, are dug in the ground.
