Ibiza has changed dramatically in recent years. Little remains of the Ibiza hippy, nature lover and a virgin who was in the days of our fathers. But this does not mean it has disappeared completely, leaving little to say. Ibiza still has its quiet coves, hippies and street markets where tranquility.
For a holiday in Ibiza ancient and natural, the best option is to rent a car on the island and move through the areas for which nobody is interested in moving. If you avoid Playa d’emboss, San Antonio, and noisy young infested areas, Ibiza has much to offer: deserted beaches, hippy markets authentic hippies really good value, family holidays and quiet.
Without doubt the most peaceful area of Ibiza in the summer is the Santa Eulalia del Rio, capital of north of the island in this area you can enjoy quiet walks along the promenade, nice dinners and quiet beaches. It is very typical and well known among locals and tourists, the craft market, open daily.
You will also find other hippy market in Punta Arabi, Es Canar, held one day a week. Also at the Port of Ibiza, every night, is a market of crafts and painting, but it is always quite crowded. In Ibiza Town itself, in the district of Sa Marina, there are thousands of little shops of handicrafts, pottery and clothing Ibiza.
Also, in San Carlos de Peralta, capital of what remains hippie in Ibiza, to organize the market of Dalias. In this area of the island sheltered the British and Germans who left their peaceful capitalist life to grow tomatoes in Ibiza … is one of the quietest and most essentially hippie. On Mondays and Saturdays are organized under the tents a unique musical show … perfect to have a quiet drink in a quiet night.
For beaches, we can leave here some recommendations, such as Cala Nova, Cala Llenya, Talamanca, OR San Vicente Creek, which although is nearly 30 km from the capital, fully deserves the punishment: it is a long beach, sand fine white, which never heard about overcrowding and where you will realize that there is still quiet Ibiza.
But Ibiza has thousands of hidden coves, miles of beaches that you can only go and find a car hire by Ibiza. No doubt it is the best way to discover the magical corners of this island, which is said to be the site with more magnetism of the Earth.
