San Martin Plaza is an attractive square, at its center lies a bust of the hero which owes its name. It has beautiful gardens and plants, especially and “of course olives”, various children’s games, kiosks, walks, lights and colors; all the basics to make this a special place to stroll, and relax.
Is besieged by the streets: San Martín in the South; Eva Perón to the North; on May 25 on the East; and 9 de julio to the West. Among the buildings that surround managed to locate: the parish increased “immaculate conception”, dating from the year 1835, in colonial style, who for reasons of age today has no Bell Tower, this raised with bricks and timber towers. The Bank of the Argentina nation, offices of Municipal rents, the “Brigitte” Inn, a commercial gallery “Walk of the city”, and trade of the most different areas: bookstores, pharmacies, perfumeries, would give, private doctors, labels, boutiques, bars, services of remises, tearooms, flower shop, catering and restaurants; and also two schools.
It is worth stress that plants of olive trees which owns the plaza San Martín of Aimogasta, include two exemplary children’s historic olive Cúa Tercentenary, which were planted at the ceremony of the first feast of the olive tree (May 24, 1942). They are located on the calle San Martín, Frente the most Immaculate Conception Church.
